The Nightingale and the Rose. I know the story calls for a red rose, but well, I like yellow. If you haven't read the story, you should. Its a good one: [link]

This picture shows spectacular mastery. The mixture of mediums couldn't be more appropriate, and I am always glad to see you have updated. Good work.

i loved that story. thank you oscar wilde (right?) and it was such a sad story!
Night after night the nightingale came to beg for divine love, but though the rose trembled at the sound of his voice, her petals remained closed to him...
flower and bird, two species never meant to mate. Yet at leangth the rose overcame her fear and from that single, forbiden union was born the red rose that allah never intended the world to know.

I saw this one at the show and really liked it. Not just the cute heart bird surgery but also the intricate background. Very well done.
glad you like it - its based on a short story by oscar wilde, the nightingale and the rose, look it up if you have time! its a great read!
